Creating a test using the editor

Prerequisite

You have questions in your library by having completed one of the following workflows:

• Conversion from exam files

• Generation from study materials

• Creating an item from scratch

Steps

1. From the sidebar menu select Create questions & tests > From scratch.

2. TAO Studio opens the Create from scratch view.

3. Select Test under Content type.

4. Enter a test title and internal identifier.

5. Wait for the embedded editor to load.

6. Use Close to leave the editor.

7. If the editor has unsaved changes, TAO Studio asks for confirmation before discarding the session.

The test editor workflow

1. Open the test editor.

2. Click Add item from library. Use the dialog to search the library for one or more items.

3. Complete the test properties, such as scoring and time limits.

4. Add parts and sections to organize your items.

5. Configure the test item properties.

6. Click Save in the top-left corner.
