Bug Fix: Fixed issue with the Entry Code PCI, where sometimes the item was skipped without a user entering the code.
TAO Advance Updates & Fixes
Prevent Accidental Question Skipping: A delay can now be applied to the βforwardβ navigation button in linear tests. This configuration aims to prevent unintended skipping. This capability is currently available for LTI-based deliveries only.
Improved Audio PCI: Enhanced scalability and stability to support larger audio files.
Entry Code PCI Localization Support: Added support for localized versions of the Entry Code PCI.
Configurable Browser Spelling Highlighting: A new LTI-based custom claim allows automatic browser spell checking to be enabled or disabled in Extended Text interactions.
TAO Portal Updates & Fixes
Anonymous Manual Scoring: Test administrators can now anonymize test-taker names for Scorers and Score Reviewers, ensuring an unbiased manual scoring process.
Manual Scoring Timeframe Configuration: Test administrators can now define when a session becomes available for manual scoring in the session settings.
Internal Notes for Manual Scorers: Scorers can now save private notes while reviewing and scoring responses. These notes are not visible to test-takers and help streamline the scoring process.
New Proctor Role: A new βProctorβ role has been added to TAO Portal. Proctors can monitor sessions but cannot edit configurations or preview attached deliveries.
Batteries Feature Now Available (Out of Beta!): Batteries enable complex test deliveries by randomizing test assignments or grouping multiple deliveries into one entity. This update also includes improvements to battery review and preview.
Enhanced Search: A new search mechanism has been implemented across all Portal tables, using limited fuzziness. Filters have also been added as an alternative search method.
Improved File Upload PCI Display: Enhanced the visibility of key details for files uploaded via the File Upload interaction during test review.
Extra Time Configuration for LTI-Based Deliveries: A new LTI custom claim allows extra test time to be added from a delivery launch. Previously, extra time could only be added for a monitored delivery launch via TAO Proctoring.
Bug Fix: Fixed errors that sometimes occurred when previewing batteries with a defined open or close date.
These updates aim to enhance usability, efficiency, and the overall TAO platform experience. We welcome your feedback and remain committed to continuous improvement. Thank you for your support! π
